Collector Car Row is a static display, with 3 different time slots during the event weekend. These spots can fill up very quickly and often sell out! The biggest and busiest sites of Metro Cruise are at the MAIN EVENT sites. There are two of them – Rogers Plaza mall in Wyoming, and Woodland Mall in Kentwood. The unique thing about Metro Cruise is that you can enjoy the event in numerous ways at many different locations. From being in the center of a MAIN EVENT site, to sitting on a blanket in a quiet city park to watch the cars go by, there are many ways to experience the event. The number of participating vehicles attending each year is estimated at over 15,000. People have come from all over the United States to attend and participate in this annual event. It is an open event, without limits on the types of vehicles allowed, and is a non-judicated event. This creates a very diverse lineup of cars. In 2007, the Main Event sites expanded from one to two days. The current event schedule runs on both Friday and Saturday.

A FREE T-shirt, snack, and drinks are provided to all volunteers working a 3 hour shift or longer. This year, organizers are excited to bring back fan favorites as well as adding some new and improved features to the event. The Wyoming-Kentwood Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 17th annual event that kicks off Friday, Aug. 26, from 2 p.m.

You may simply visit a restaurant or bar on 28th Street, many of which will have extra entertainment like outdoor beer tents, DJ’s, live bands, car-themed entertainment, and more. There are dozens of car group meetups to bring your show car, or to just view the others. While the main site will still be Rogers Plaza, a secondary site has been added this year. The west parking lot of the Woodland Mall will now include food vendors, collector cars, live music and kids' entertainment. With previous visitor numbers reaching 250,000, organizers are expecting higher turnout with an additional location.
The Metro Cruise Main Event weekend is 2 day celebration of cars, local business, great food, and family and friends. 28th Street is 13 miles long with hundreds of private and public events happening throughout. There are many ways attendees can enjoy the Metro Cruise weekend. You may visit the Main Event sites at Rogers Plaza or Woodland Mall. You may set up chairs, blankets, and tents on the grass along 28th Street to view the classic cars, which can be seen at all hours during the 2 day event.
The 28th Street Metro Cruise® only happens with the participation of business sponsors. It is an open event and all areas are free to attend. We are so excited to celebrate this year's Dust Off event with you - it's our 10th anniversary and we'll be making it extra special! Held at the Wyoming Moose Lodge, drive in your collector car and grab a first-come first-served parking spot free of charge. New additions for this year include more kids’ activities, shade tents, additional collector car spaces and expanded offerings at the Woodland Mall site.
Feel free to take that family car to any official site – we have general event parking areas. Click the links on our App or Website for more information. Park at any other participating site on 28th Street. Enjoy the event from your favorite local restaurant, store, or park and be part of their event. Be advised that outside of our official sites, you must check with the property owner on their events, pricing, and policies during Metro Cruise weekend. At these hot spots you can see lots of stationary cars (car show style).
Other lots may also be subject to overnight parking prohibitions, please be sure to ask the property owner. If you’d like to show off your car and grab a prime parking spot, we do offer reserved spaces at both Main Event sites. The famous “Collector Car Row”, our lineup of 200+ stationary show cars, is highly desirable and some areas are on a waiting list. The Metro Cruise is unique in that you can enter and exit 28th at any location you desire, and at any time. 28th Street is 13 miles long and goes through 5 cities, each with different events happening. You can cruise up and down 28th street as normal, the road is not closed or diverted for the event.
